Week Seven began the way most of my weeks begin, with waffles! Gotta love that! I don't think that there is any better way to start a Sunday. My bursitis was acting up so walking was a bit of a problem both Sunday and Monday. But, life goes on...
There are my Sunday rituals, which I love. I change the sheets on the bed and do laundry. On this particular Sunday, we also spent a large part of the day cooking! School work and lesson plans.
Monday we had pot roast for dinner with Mrs. Miller's homemade egg noodles. It was delicious! So glad that we now have the slow cooker to help out with meals.
Tuesday, Valentine's Day. My husband treated me to a spa gift certificate and some lovely cards. There was a long stemmed rose on the table when I got home from work as well as Spicy Hoison Chicken that he had made. He spoiled me and I gave him cards. I do have something in mind for a gift that I am making, but I am not so good at getting things done in a timely manner. Our school celebration was a bit different this year, primarily because I am in second grade. It was fun and the kids had a good time. I think I will add the Valentine's Day cards that I got to our Project Life binder. Not sure what that will look like, but I will share when it is done!
Wednesday, a relaxing day at home after a quick visit to my orthopedist. Since my leg was much better we decided that I should just keep running and do a wait and see kind of thing. So, that's what I will do.
Running was not on my agenda Wednesday, although it probably should have been. I was so tired that I actually headed to bed early, before midnight that is. Thursday was a normal day at work. I stayed a bit late and then headed home. Right after dinner I laid down and slept until nearly nine. I totally missed calling Amanda on her birthday, can't believe that. We watched a great movie, Keeping Mum, and then I went to bed. Early again.
Friday I worked until 6:30, ran and went to bed. On Saturday, I slept late. The same as most weeks! Saturday, I set up my design wall in my hallway and set my sights on finishing a couple of quilts. Great plan for the day. I love the photo Mark took of me laying on the floor perusing my star quilt which I am having a hard time pulling together.
You will notice that I do not have a photo for every day. Most weeks I do end up with seven photos, but they is not always one for every day. Some days there are two and some days there are none. That's just the way my weeks unfold.
I had avoided Project Life primarily because I felt that I could not keep up with a photo a day, like Project 365, but it seems to me that I have no trouble filling my weeks with pictures and commentary when I approach the week as a whole. I keep my Project Life recording very simple. Perhaps I will become more creative as I get more organized, but I just love the way this project is working for me right now!
