Sunday brings thoughts of Monday. Aside from that, Sunday's aren't all that bad!
I finished putting decorations on the large tree in the living room. The star will be the final touch - perhaps tomorrow! The remaining ornaments will be placed on the tree set up in the family room. The remaining ornaments include all of the ornaments we purchased on our travels this year. Well, perhaps tomorrow evening.
Mark and I spent the afternoon with my mom. She is doing much better, actually getting around a little bit with her walker. She does spend most of her time sitting or napping, recuperating from her procedure. While mom is not used to taking things slow, she is doing her best to be patient and allow herself to heal properly. Suzy arrived from North Carolina yesterday to help by staying with mom. We are all doing our best to help where we can.
The drive from my house to mom's takes us through neighborhoods bright with holiday lights and decorations. I love to see the twinkling lights of decorated homes.
The sauce is made, ready to make the lasagna for our family Christmas Eve dinner. Jessica will be home on Thursday and Jason will join us after he finishes work on Christmas Eve. This is the first year Mark will spend with my family and I. I am so excited to share our family traditions with him. I love family celebrations.
Hoping I will be able to pull the holiday together this week. Looking forward to see the week unfold.
