Such fun! Tonight Mark and I spent a quiet but festive evening in downtown Haddonfield. Kings Highway was aglow with mini white lights. The shops were open offering cookies and hot chocolate. Carolers were singing the songs of the season. A very pleasant low key evening. The perfect way to end a hectic week!
A branch of the Sweet Adelines serenaded us while we ate dinner at the crepe restaurant. They sang one of my favorite holiday songs, Santa Baby.
Dinner was delicious and we had saved room for dessert. A French Apple Crepe, yum.
The madrigals from the local high school performed a few songs at the local quilt shop. And, to my surprise, former students performing from another high school, right outside the quilt shop. I can't believe that I have been teaching long enough to have former students graduating from high school. Ran into a few of my favorites and was thrilled to catch up and catch a glimpse of their lives. They were having such fun together, a wonderful evening to share with friends.
Each holiday season I try to find time to spend a Friday evening enjoying the sights of the season downtown. Blessed tonight to have the opportunity to slow down, just a bit and savor the sights and sounds of the holiday.
