Sunday, precious Sunday. I love the opportunity to sleep late. And sleep late I did. Fighting the crowds on Saturday sure did wear me out.
The weather was less than desirable, in fact, cool and rainy are never my favorites. Traveling around the city, suitcase in tow, in the rain, something I like to avoid. Good thing we had planned a low key day. Just a couple of stops before we were to head home. And, we reduced our list even more once we started out.
The subway seemed to be the best way to get to B&H Camera, the only stop we decided was important enough to keep with the weather such that it was.
The walk back to Penn Station is quick, down 34th Street into the Herald Square area. I just love the Believe signs that were attached to the lamp posts.
We grabbed lunch at my favorite pizza place in Penn Station, where we began this adventure on Friday, although this time we didn't need to sit on the floor!
The 1:15 train was packed and we almost didn't get a seat. Many passengers were heading out to the Meadowlands for the Jets 4pm game.
While I love our annual holiday visit to the city, I also love coming home. There is no place like home for the holidays. Just being in my house makes me giddy!
