Catching up is extremely hard, especially when each day is already so jam packed with obligations and a to-do list that never seems to get any shorter. I think that I am accomplishing much less these days. Must be a result of my happy co-habitation. In other words, I blame it on Mark!
Of course that's not true. I have always over loaded my to-do list and I never seem to understand that days come with just 24 hours. I have already given up on sleep, not sure what else I can purge in order to be more productive.
Wednesday I took a half day off. My mom had an appointment with her doctor and my sister needed to accomplish some things so I headed out to mom's house; with mom in tow of course.
We had a great afternoon. Will listened to holiday music, sipped tea and chatted. Mom is getting stronger each day and is definitely more mobile. She even ate dinner for me which is a good thing!
While at mom's I noticed this on the kitchen counter.
It looked like murder to me. Who does that, eats the head and one arm and leaves the poor man to suffer. I mentioned this to my mom and she began to share the psychology of eating gingerbread men. Apparently eating the head first reveals a need for dominance. I did not see the report on Good Morning America so I cannot attest to its validity. Another interesting gingerbread story, in the early 19th century young maids would eat gingerbread men because it was believed to bring good luck to women looking for a real man. Hmmm.
Well, Wednesday was a late evening. So much to get done....so little time. Looking forward to just spending time with family. Can't wait to have Jason and Jessica home.
