Tonight, some time after 9pm, I headed off to the gym. I was scared into it!
You see, on March 17th, I will be running in my first 5k in over 20 years. I am not ready. I am afraid I won't be ready. So I run.
I was going to run last night, but I fell asleep right after dinner. I needed to run this evening.
Tonight was day one of week 5, the Couch to 5k Program. Walk 5 minutes, run 5 minutes, walk 3 minutes...well, you get the drift.
My goal is to participate in a triathalon in August. This is the first step.
At this rate, I will make it to week 9, the last week of the training program, the Monday before the race. Wish me luck, I'm going to need all the help I can get!
