Just loving Project Life. I know that I sound like a broken record, but I would never get any memories saved without this project. I forget too much and right at the moment everything, in terms of traditional scrapbooking, seems a little overwhelming to me.
Week 12 was the week we celebrated our 11 month wedding anniversary, saw 2 movies, 1 play, ran about 10 miles and found time to just "pause" and reflect. This week was all about taking it easy, so to speak!
Monday I met my hubby at Starbucks for a refreshing cool drink on their patio. It felt good to just be outside for a bit. Monday is my no training day, thank goodness. I usually need the time to print photos for Project Life and last week, I needed to catch up on my journaling.
This year, more than last, I find that I have a difficult time keeping up with my journaling. That is a direct result of fatigue. My left hand, which suffered the majority of the burns back in October, is still healing. I still wear a compression glove and my hand just hurts. Sometimes it is just easier not to write. Perhaps I need to get on the ball with computer journaling, just something else to learn!
Sunday of last week gave me time to work in the yard on the side flower beds and a bit of time at the sewing machine. Monday was highlighted by a note from my dear friend Faye. She received her quilt and was thrilled. I just love making someone's day. Then there was our visit to Starbucks and a trip to the library. Tuesday, it was back to training. Day 2 of Week 8 in my 13 weeks to a 10K. Of course it started to rain the minute I started to run, but I kept at it!
Wednesday Jessica posted a couple of Instagram photos and I copied one to add into our Project Life. I just love the photo she took at work, scotch tasting. I included a note about what she was up to. I am hoping to add more of my children into Project Life, since I do not see them that often, getting photos from their Facebook pages really helps me stay in touch!
Thursday was another hot day here. It was off to Rita's for a custard right after work. Mark had a gelati. We ran into an old friend of Jason's and spent a bit of time chatting. The quilt ladies called to let me know that my quilt was finished so off we went to pick it up. Then, Los Amigos for dinner. I was exhausted by the time we got home.
Friday, I took another day off from training. We watched Tin Tin after dinner and then I spent time trying to get a handle on the switch of clothes from winter to spring/summer. Saturday I slept late. Always!
We ran a couple of errands, I had peanut m&m's for a snack and then we saw at play at our local theater. The Children's Hour is one of my favorites.
This week I included an extra 6 x 12 page protector to hold the playbill. As soon as my husband trusts that I will not toss them away, I am thinking he will let me have the ticket stubs to include with the postcard from the play.
This week I am noticing that many people are using Project Life in much the same way that I am. I noticed that many included brochures and inserts from activites they had engaged in, at times just hole punching and sticking it in. Really simple.
I also noticed that over at One Happy Mama, she included more photos and chose to include her journaling on 4x6 cards in a 6x12 pocket insert. Looks cool and I like the way it mixes things up a bit. Over at the Mom Creative, there is a post by KelIi and she included a baseball card page to add details of a couple of events from her week. I love how she used a 4x6 transparency for her date page. I love the fact that you can see through it! I also spent some time over at Jenny's blog. Just love seeing how everyone's pages turn out. It is so inspiring!
In case you are interested, Project Life is a product created by Becky Higgins and you can find out more about it by heading to her website. I encourage you to give it a try, perhaps you too will fall in love with the process.
