Wednesday, hooray!
It was actually raining, just a bit, when I arrived home from work so we decided to run at the gym. We were both working on Week 9 Day 2 of our training program to a 10K. Our next race is April 29th. Not quite a 10K, actually a 5 mile run through a vineyard. The bonus, wine tasting after the race. That is something I can definitely handle.
Our runs were pretty uneventful. Mark and I both managed a steady pace and then I rested while Mark did some ab and back work on machines. At this point, I have run almost 10 miles this week. There is still one training run left, I wonder how far I will actually go!
Once home it was leftovers for dinner and time spent in the garden.
The sky really brightened up and the blooms were gorgeous. So glad they survived the dip in temperature the other evening.
This is the last of the daffodils.Cherry blossoms up close and not so up close...
Cherry blossom against a pretty blue, spring sky. What a treat.
The hyacinths still smell great, but they are definitely on their way out. I love the way the blossoms look like they are striped. Hyacinths always remind me of my children. Both were spring babies and I received lots of hyacinth plants in the hospital.
After a brief respite in the garden, it was inside to take care of some work and then...Spoon Me! We deserved a sensible treat after a workout and a healthy dinner. We really enjoyed our treat!
