Summer is certainly not helping me keep to a schedule. Perhaps next week I will be better. Training for the triathlon is hot and heavy now. Well, not hot and heavy, it is taking a priority. And so, by the way, is having fun an relaxing. I start work next week, perhaps I will be better then!
Week 25, the week from Sunday, June 17 through Saturday, June 23rd. And Sunday was over whelming. My dear hubby decided to empty the garage. In my house, that is no easy task. I needed to add an insert to my week's layout that included pictures of what I was dealing with. Well, it was Mark that was dealing with the mess. It got to be dark and everything was still strewn about the yard.
This is one side of the insert featuring 3 photos and an Office Depot self-adhesive tab. The back side of the insert shows two photos of our mess and one photo that Jessie had posted from the same day on Facebook.
The rest of the week was chock full of adventures. Monday was the last day of school and Tuesday was my first day of summer. I am waiting for my 8.5 x 11 page protectors to arrive so that I can include my Summer Manifesto and a note from one of my students.
Tuesday was a little about everything around the house. We finally hung the hammock and look who got the first lay. Unfortunately the hammock was a bit dry and several of the ropes snapped. Fortunately he did not end up on the ground!
Wednesday I headed into New York City for yoga in Times Square as part of the solstice celebration.
For this insert I used a Style A page protector from Becky Higgins and split the center photo in half. I must say that this was the best yoga class I have ever experienced! And, that is saying a lot!
On the back side of the insert I included photos from my evening with Jessica.
These photos begin with a photo of our Zip Car, Suzan. Who knew that someone else names their cars like we do? There was absolutely no way to include all of the photos from Wednesday. I wish that Jess would have taken a photo of me exhausted and wiped out on her bed after working with her to install the air conditioner after 11 at night.
Thursday was another very full day. I traveled into Manhatten with Jessie. We said good bye on the subway at the stop for her office and I traveled uptown just a bit to 14th Street.
Starbucks and a bit of air conditioning helped before I walked up to The City Quilter on 25th Street. Oh how I love that store. I then met up with Mark who traveled up to the city to meet me. We had made arrangements to visit a friend of his that was doing an event for his book launch at MoCCA. It was a long day that included a great deal of walking with me carrying a backpack and my yoga bag with two mats in scorching 95 degree plus temperatures. We hit the Highline and the Village, and every place in between! By the time we reached home at 12:30am I was again done for. Needless to say, there were no pictures from Friday. I did swim, afterall I am in training, but the rest of the day was very uneventful and not very productive, although I tried!
Saturday I had an early for me run, a trip to the farmer's market and then we were off to Bellview Winery for the introduction of their 2010 vintage reds. What fun we had - a very full day.
There were so many pictures from this week but I decided to keep it simple and just call it finished. Summer is usually like that, lots of photos, lots of activities, lots of choices. This year I am choosing to keep it all very simple!
I am going to share my link over at The Mom Creative where Jessica has a couple of videos about her process and catching up.
As always, if you are the least bit interested in Project Life, I urge you to check out Becky Higgins' site. I just love recording our family happenings this way. Takes the stress out of the process and allows me to go with the flow. Just love it!
