Summer Manifesto
This summer I plan to relax more.
I will wake up earlier so that I can accomplish more with my days.
I will establish a training program that will help me to prepare for my triathlon.
I will WRITE everyday.
I will spend time enjoying our yard, eating outside and relaxing in the adirondack chairs.
I will find time to explore our great state.
I will try new cocktails and resurrect happy hour at home.
I will dance with my hubby.
I will giggle.
I will express gratitude.
I will create a space that nurtures my creativity.
I will finish some lingering home improvement projects.
I will embrace the shade and drink more water.
I will make the most of each day.
I first saw this on Ali Edwards' blog and I just love the idea of committing to some sort of action. Summer has a way of drifting by. It is so important that I accomplish things during the summer because I just have no energy during the school year. Perhaps that is a function of getting older, but in any case it really stifles me.
This summer I plan to accomplish quite a bit while taking the time to enjoy myself and the time I have with my husband. We are planning on gardening, hiking, grilling and running together. We are going to eat healthier and support each other's creative adventures. It is going to be great!
