Robin stopped over on Friday to finish adding the borders to her t-shirt quilt. My t-shirt quilt was not nearly as far along and I vowed to have it finished by the time we head to the quilt shop on Tuesday afternoon.
That means I have work to do!
My t-shirt quilt is three panels of t-shirts with a sashing in between. I wasn't sure how to handle the sashing or the borders. But tonight, after discussing my ideas with Mark, I have a plan. Now, I just need to execute.
I have decided to add a narrow border around each of the three panels. The sashing between the panels will be a beautiful purple and blue batik. I think that I may finish the quilt using two borders. A narrow inner border of the blue and purple batik and then a wider border using the same fabric I used to outline the t-shirt panels. So far that is the plan.
I had better begin to execute or the quilt will not be finished by Tuesday. Oh the pressure!
