Today, after beginning this quilt in 2009, I finally finished my t-shirt quilt. I am loving it! Back in August, 2009, when Robin and I first attended our class, I had no idea what I was doing or how it was all going to work out. But just look at it - a little piece of Jason, Jessica and myself.The guidance I received from our teacher and the other ladies in our class really helped me to pull this quilt together. Back in the beginning I could not even visualize what could possibly be created from the collection of t-shirts that I had.
Here it is, complete and ready for the quilter. The backing fabric I chose reminds me of our life at the beach. A beautiful batik in blues and greys, with plenty of shells to bring back memories of our time on the sand. Gorgeous.There is no time to rest, there are plenty of quilts to finish before my summer is over. I am feeling so blessed to have this time to create.
