I started my "tri" training in June. A 12 week training program with my training buddy, Jackie. Now it is down to just three training days left. Today was my last day of endurance training, a 1,000 yard swim followed by a 60 minute run.
The next three training sessions are for speed, I think, because they are shorter than my most recent. There is a 500 yard swim on Tuesday, a 30 minute bike ride on Wednesday and on Friday, a 30 minute run. I have gone from training 6 days a week to this...Next Sunday is the triathlon in Sandy Hook. I will swim 1/2 mile, bike 10 miles and run 3.1 miles. I am excited but nervous; I sure hope I am ready!
