December Daily, Day 3, a back to work Monday kind of day. This week is parent conferences so on Monday I was home for most of the afternoon. Instead of doing something constructive, I took a nap. Well, I guess I needed it!
The planter looks so pretty filled with the greens from the yard and I just love the large pinecones. One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the bringing of nature into the house. I think I would have been very happy to have been born in the 19th century. Swags and boughs of evergreen would fill every nook and cranny of my home. I try to do that now, but it is just not all that practical.
After conferences last night, I poured myself a glass of wine and got to work on my December Daily pages. So happy I had a chance to do something creative before calling it a night. The night would have been much better if the Giants had beaten the Redskins, but it was still a perfectly balanced evening. I am so much better at taking some time for myself these days.Celebrating the season, taking it all in and enjoying every festive moment. Life is good.
