Catching up seems to be a perpetual state for me lately. But, for a very good reason. We traveled with family to New York City for our annual holiday weekend and it was great fun. No computers or online nonsense for the entire weekend and boy did it feel good.
December Daily Day 6 was this past Thursday. And, Thursday, was all about gifts. My mom had called Mark and asked him to come over to pick up something. I thought she had something that she could not handle, I did not realize that it was our Christmas gift. Not wanting to open a gift before Christmas, I would have been content to leave the present under the tree, but she insisted that we open it up that evening. So, we did. I still would have been content to leave it under the tree and not un-box it, but Mark insisted on cleaning all the parts and setting it up on the counter. We are now the proud owners of a Kitchen Aid stand mixer. The reason it was so important, we need to use it to make cookies! At least that's what mom says.
That was not the only gift I received on Thursday. Mom had picked me up an herbal heating pad. I had borrowed hers and I guess she wants it back. So happy to have my own to soothe my sore and tired back after a long day.
The spread for December 6th was actually completed that evening. You see, my printer is working. For the most part. The photos seem a little dark, but I am not going to complain. I am just happy to have the flexibility of printing at home!
