December Daily: Day 8

Saturday in New York. A little drizzly, but perfect for the day we had planned.Our plan was to take an early walk to the MET in an attempt to beat the crowds. For the most part, it went entirely as planned. We wandered through Matisse and then spend a great deal of time in the new American Wing. Amanda hung with us as we ventured about. We made sure to spot all of the places that Claudia and Jamie used when they ran away to the museum all those years ago!Saturday night Jessie joined us for dinner at Rue 57. She and I had eaten at the same restaurant when we came up to the city for the Paul McCartney concert a couple of years ago. The blue strip on the journaling card is a piece of patterned paper that I just love. I hated to cut it, but I can't hoard my Christmas paper forever!The button from the MET is a nice addition. I love that I now have a place for all of the little baubles that I collect when we travel!
