Actually, I call this quilt Chocolate Hugs and Kisses. Can you see the X's and the O's in the pattern? It was the Mystery quilt made at the fall weekend retreat with The Little Shop in Haddonfield. While I did not go on the retreat, Bunkey and I signed up to take this class in the spring of 2011. Well, as things go, we did not actually get the quilts finished. This quilt is one of my favorites. Most times, when I am planning a quilt, I select fabrics not knowing exactly how they will all look together. This is one combination that I am just thrilled with. Really. I could not have asked for a better outcome. I am giddy!
The picture above is one that I took with Mark holding the quilt. The next picture Mark took because he wanted to see me with the quilt. He used a flash so I am not sure which photo shows the truer colors. It really doesn't matter. This quilt is one of the quilts on my short list. I have the back and it is ready to go to the quilting ladies. I will need to have the binding complete before I can consider it completed, but I am pretty darn close!
