Last weekend I finished little Arya's baby quilt. Phew! I can't believe it is finally done. I have a bad habit of setting a project aside when I make a mistake. Really a bad habit.
Early on, while making this quilt, I made a big mistake. I ironed the minkie. Unfortunately, it took the adorable little bumps out of the fabric. I needed to "un-sew", buy some more minkie, and then start the process again. Well, finally I bit the bullet and gave myself a deadline. Miss Arya needed to have her quilt before her 6 month birthday. That date, April 16th, was my deadline.
Fortunately I did not need to be too rough on myself and the quilt got done in plenty of time. Exactly three days to spare. I just love it. The colors are bright and the minkie is soft. The quilt itself is a nice weight and that's a good thing! I can't wait to see pictures of the little princess on her new quilt!
