Unfortunately, Andrea also showed up! Boy did she show up. Just as we were standing in the rain, at the starting line, the thunder boomed. That was that.
But, we showed up. We were prepared to take on the rain and do our best. Here we are at the end of the evening, soaking wet and giddy.
I just love Jackie. She is such a great tri buddy. She is willing to try just about anything and giggle with me as we put ourselves out there. I love the fun times we share!
On Sunday evening I will show up and race the Fabulous Friday Night 5K, alone. Jackie will be at a wedding out of state. It won't be the same without her but, it is one sure way to make sure she doesn't beat my time! It's tough having a tri-buddy that's half my age!
