I Had No Choice

But I was fine with it. You see, we don't have cable at home. Most nights it really doesn't matter. We do not watch television. Tonight however was the last pre-season game for my beloved Giants and it was only broadcast on the NFL network. We adjusted and made plans to spend the evening at Iron Hill Brewery. A couple of beers, a couple of appetizers and a terrific evening. We had a grand time hanging out until half time and then headed home. A wonderful evening despite the fact that the Giants lost!

And So it Begins...

Tomorrow the teachers report to school. Two days of inservice before the kiddos arrive on Tuesday. My room is almost ready. Tonight I am making lists of tasks that still need to be accomplished.

I am hoping to get to bed in the next hour. This is what will greet me in the morning...Perhaps, if all goes well, I will have it altogether by Friday afternoon. Fingers crossed!

And Just Like That...

summer's over. Really, this summer just went too quickly. Tomorrow I head down to the beach for my last day of work at the store and on Thursday, I am back at school. In reality, I have been at school almost every day that I am not working at the store. 

Now I know, summer really doesn't end until sometime next month, for me it ends just a wee bit sooner. Thursday in fact. 

I am grateful for the magical events of this summer. I will carry images of our adventures with me as I head back to school.

Awesome

On Wednesdays I leave the house at 7am to be at work at 9am in Barnegat Light. Last Wednesday this is what the sky looked like as I ventured into the yard. Gorgeous! I do not remember the exact conditions that allowed the fog to lay so thick against the ground that morning but I am grateful that I thought to capture this image. So happy I came across this little treasure this evening!

Island Time

Not literally, I do not fish. But, I have decided to put work, internet and my husband aside (poor guy) for just a couple of days while I spend some much needed time with my dear daughter. It is a girls' weekend at the beach, just what the doctor ordered!

Mark did a terrific job of capturing not only the triathlon, but my emotions as well. It was a day I will never forget!

Transition

It is very unusual for me to be up and about before the sun comes up but, that was my reality today. It was truly a gorgeous sunrise in Wildwood as we prepared for the Tri and set up our transition areas!
