Every year I wonder if i shouldn't stop my December Daily album on Christmas, but so much happens in the week between Christmas and New Year's that I keep going. It is a much slower pace, but well worth the process.
We always spend Christmas Eve at my mom's. Our dinner is lasagna, a tradition started many years ago. It was nice to spend time with Jen, David and the girls, it has been so long since I have seen them! My mom's friends Bob joined us. The only one missing was Jessica. I was sad that she wasn't there, but I understand the difficulty of balancing it all, especially around the holidays!
Jess came down on the Bolt Bus and I picked her up in Philly at the 30th Street Station while Mark and Jason polished off a couple of bottles of scotch at home. (Not as bad as it sounds, a tiny bit in a couple of bottles!)
Jessica had always loved a fancy little phone that Naya had in her house. This year for Christmas Naya wrapped up the phone for Jessica. Boy did it bring back memories. We plugged it in and found that it worked just fine! Imagine that, a rotary phone!
I included the gift card packaging from the gift my mom gave to Mark and I. In the other smaller pocket, I included sequins. I placed the sticker on top of the page protector and I think that I am really liking the look!
Christmas Eve was a wonderful day spent wrapping gifts, celebrating with family and enjoying the opportunity to have both of my children sleeping in the house again!
