Saturday, I made it! So happy to start my winter break!
Chicken cacciatore in the crockpot and a trip to the mall. Mark had a tabling event so I stopped over at the mall to visit him! It was fun to wander around, not really needing to shop. Then it was home to prepare for a bit of company, start laundry and fiddle a bit with holiday gifts.
Just before our guests arrived I received an email from my dear friend Marianne, Howard had passed away. I was not prepared for that. In her way, Marianne wrote a haiku with the message. Our guests arrived at the same moment. We shared a few tears and then celebrated life. A good visit, comfortable conversation and good laughs. I needed that. Love spending time with friends!
