it is time to put Christmas away. I really enjoy having the decorations up and it makes me very sad to take them down. Mark suggested we keep them up a little longer, but I have major reorganizing going on and I feel it is better just to hunker down and finish.
Today the family room looked like this as I started to take out our regular decorations and put away Christmas.
The trunk in the family room holds a lot of our Christmas decorations during the year. I also use it as an end table next to the chair and raily in the family room.
As you can see, the tree remains untouched. I am a little superstitious and will not attempt to take down the two big trees in the house until after January 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany. Perhaps I will start that process tomorrow evening after I finally get around to baking cookies!
