Week Five started with our first race of the season. We were in Pitman bright and early on Sunday morning, okay 9:30, but still...
It was a mere 12 degrees when we started and were we cold! Good thing it was just a 2 mile race. My physical therapist was furious that I decided to go but since I am not getting any younger, and no one has been able to alleviate the pain, I figure what the heck and went for it. I haven't "run" since November and it felt great. It wasn't my fastest two miles, but it wasn't my slowest either.
On Monday, the selfie I took of Mark and I appeared on the Women's Running Run-Brag on their Facebook page. All in all, I was glad we had raced.
Not many photos were taken during Week 5. Not sure why, perhaps it had something to do with my two nights of physical therapy, the one mile swim on Tuesday, working til 5:30 after arriving at work right around 7, perhaps I am just old!
We did have snow to greet our morning commute one day and one day this week was our "drop-in" observations. Thursday morning I managed to put 24 Hours of Happy on nearly everyone's computer. So, when people arrived at work they were greeted with Pharrell William's "Happy". It was so much fun. You should go there now and give it a look-see. In any case, I think everyday should start with a little happy!
The week ended with our little celebration for Ground Hog Day. I had on my t-shirt and my necklace!
Saturday was spent celebrating the life of a dear friend whom we lost just before Christmas. It was a wonderful celebration and I had such fun remembering the special life that Howard had lived, truly a wonderful man!
This is currently how the spread looks in my Project Life album. I will be adding an insert that has our bibs and photos taken by the race photographer and another insert sharing some of our favorite pictures and memories of Howard. The kids and I were giggling remembering the wonderful moments we had shared.
