And just like that, we are more than ten weeks into the new year. It must be that I am getting older, but really time does seem to fly a little faster the slower I seem to move!
I used a photo for the "week" card on this spread because I happened to catch a robin under the bird feeder on Sunday. The poor bird must have been shocked to see all the snow on Monday morning. I think she arrived home just a bit too soon!
As you can see by the photo, my printer is acting up again. Fortunately I figured out how to print photos on Mark's printer. It is much more difficult to keep up with Project Life or any type of daily documentation when I need to run out to get photos printed.
There is a sharp contrast in photos from Sunday into Monday. We had another snow day on Monday and it felt like a real gift! Tuesday gave us a delayed opening and, I started my training again - just 12 weeks until I jump off the Cape May Ferry! Crazy! For my Tuesday photo, I decided to share a photo of a student reflection from our attempt to celebrate students. I think it will be fun to look back from year to year to see how I have changed, grown, as a teacher!
The second half of the week was a whirlwind of activity. Two nights in a row of physical therapy and the continuation of training. When I keep to my schedule, I am training six nights a week. This year I need to ease myself into training as I am still dealing with knee and hip issues. Hopefully my joints will get with the program quickly! Friday evening I was supposed to run 20 minutes, but after the week my knees just didn't cooperate. I decided to walk instead. Friday evening we had good friends over for dinner. I had finished the quilt for Robin and I am happy to say it is now at home on her bed!
Saturday brought an unexpected journey out to Mt. Holly. The Village Quilter is 12! Wow! We made a quick visit to the quilt shop and then took advantage of the warmer weather to wander up and down High Street. We stopped in The Village Idiot Brewing Company for a tasting and in Red White and Brew for a look at some beer and wine. A relaxing afternoon before heading home to taxes and an episode of Downton Abbey!
All in all it was a great week. I think I may finally be ready for the warmer weather. I have loved the snow this winter but the birds are chirping extremely loud and I think they are chastizing me for my snow prayers!
Tomorrow I will be linking up with Jessica Turner over at The Mom Creative. If you are the least bit interested in Project Life, I encourage to stop over at Becky Higgins' site and check out all of the inspiration! Ali Edwards posted her Week 1 today if you are looking for a little inspiration!
