Well, I knew it was bound to happen, but I am a week late on Project Life. The problem was my trip to Lancaster. I brought home so much ephemera that I just wasn't sure how to handle it. My old habit would have been to put the photos and the journaling in the page protectors, take the photos and do my post. Dealing with the over abundance of paper some other time. If you know me, you know that dealing with it later means dealing with it never. So I stopped and thought long and hard about what to do with the paper...you would be so proud of my solutions!
The beginning of the week was very simply handled. I had made a couple of commitments to a couple of friends so that took up the the early part, a repair of an overnight bag and a photo block for an anniversary quilt.
The first insert in the weekly spread is the AQS Quilt Show Program. I wasn't sure I wanted to hold onto it, but I just couldn't recycle it so here it is.
The middle inserts include a list of quilt shops in the Lancaster area, absolutely a must keep! My solution for the business cards, a business card page protector from Office Depot. I have a whole package of these and I think this solved much of my anxiety about how to store information that I may need for my upcoming business venture.
The final insert is a 6x12 page protector which hold a few photos from our adventure, the room key and business card from the hotel we stayed in. When I turn that insert over, you see the right hand page of Week 11.
Pictures of Bunkey and I as well as the Lancaster country side are featured on the back of the last insert. The final page for Week 11 includes a photo of the sunrise on March 12th, an invitation to a bridal shower I missed over the weekend, the photo quilt block we made and a picture from our workshop in school on Thursday. As always, a very full week!
The picture of the Flatiron Building in NY was taken off of my daughter's Facebook page on the first day of Spring. It is actually included in the spread for Week 12. I left the slot in the page protector open so that I could see the two beautiful sky pictures together!
Tomorrow I will try linking up with Jessica Turner over at The Mom Creative. I am not sure if she is doing weekly posts, if not I will post next week when she begins April. If you are the least bit interested in Project Life, I encourage to stop over at Becky Higgins' site and check out all of the inspiration!
