When I was at the quilt show in Lancaster I found a pattern for this adorable ruffled bag which I thought my student teacher, Brittany, would love. Unfortunately I had a terrible time making heads or tales out of the directions. Finally, after several late nights this week, I finished the bag just in time for Brittany's last day on Thursday. Not that we won't be seeing each other again, but I wanted her to have it before she left her student teaching assignment.
After too many late nights pulling together the gifts for Brittany's last day; and planning the celebration on Thursday, I was exhausted. I fell asleep as soon as I arrived home on Thursday.
Finally, this evening, we got around to "celebrating" our anniversary. We exchanged cards and ordered a treat, vegan Chinese take out! Delicious. We are spending a low key evening at home, keeping an eye on the NFL draft and just being a bit lazy. Here's to a good night's sleep and a productive Saturday!
