It used to be that Mark and I would walk nearly every evening. Once I began training in earnest, that ritual fell by the wayside. Tonight, after weeks of being unable to do any type of exercise I was determined to walk. The air smelled like spring and the sky was gorgeous!
We generally make our way over to the town center. For the second year in a row, the carnival has come to town! We were there at the perfect time of the evening to enjoy the lights against the darkening sky.
The smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled the air. I enjoyed seeing the kids running around and hearing their giggles!
Our walk was a little harder on me than I had hoped. I am heating up my rice filled hot pad and getting ready to warm my joints in the shower. This was Mark's 2nd walk of the day and I think it may have been a bit too much for him. Today is the first day, since his stay in the hospital on the 22nd that he has not had to take a nap which is a good sign. I just hope he didn't over do it!
I'm just glad that the weather cooperated and we were able to get out even if it was just for a bit.
