Look at what I found, our first few peonies have bloomed. I just love the peonies!
The reason peonies are filled with ants when you cut them is because their ability to bloom relies on the little creatures. Look at the little guy I captured on the bud.
Not only did the peonies finally bloom, the Raspberry Sorbet roses have also bloomed! Mark had picked out this rose because of the colors of the blooms and I must say, they are gorgeous!
We have a climbing rose bush that is also covered in blooms! I guess you can see that I have a thing for pink roses. Actually, a long time ago when I was planning this garden, I decided that all the flowers would be pink and white. I am just happy that there are so many varieties of pink available!
Finally, the shrub rose bushes that fill the view from my kitchen window. I love the pop of pink that I greet each morning on my way to work.
While I love traveling, I am excited that we will spend most of our summer here, at home. I love my garden and I am really looking forward to spending some significant time in the yard working this year!
