Saturday I spent a rousing few hours with my BFF Bunkey and it was great fun. Lunch out, a tour of Binkley's 5 & 10 in Medford, and a bit of quilting. As I was getting ready to leave Bunkey announced that we needed a massage. Well, I have never had a Swedish Massage and boy did it sound terrific!
Bright and early Sunday morning I got myself dressed and into the car. Our appointment was for 9 with directions to show up at 8:45. Generally that is much too early for me, but the thought of a massage had this tired achy, pained body anticipating relief.
This is a look I'd like to try at least once a month. I must say that I have never experienced anything like this, and that's saying a lot as someone trained in the more "therapeutic" form of massage. For the first time in over 4 months, I was pain free. Seriously, even at home when I lay in bed my body is in terrible pain. I laid on the table and just relished the deliciousness of the experience. Pain free, what a feeling!
Now, as soon as maneuvered myself off the table, my hips began to scream. But for those delicious moments before that, I felt complete and total relief. What a treat! I need to make arrangements for Bunkey and I to do this again, real soon!
