I received my block from Julie, right on schedule. Me, I was not right on schedule. I put Julie's package aside and swore not to open it until I had finished her June block and it was on its way. I finished her block on June 15th, the day it was due. Mark drove me over to the post office and I sent it off. It came back. Yup, on Wednesday, the day it was to arrive in Layton, it arrived at our house saying postage due. Mark handled the whole thing, took it back to the post office and asked for an explanation. As it turns out, they had none. After re-stamping the package and writing, "NO POSTAGE DUE" on it, it was on its way again. Seriously?
Well, since there was nothing I can do about it, I decided to finish my block. Tonight I did just that. I am so excited to see the two blocks next to each other. I think I am seriously going to love this quilt!
