Today was a great day at home. It actually started very early this morning, when I stayed up til 3:30 reading The Fault in Our Stars. I don't know why, I just felt compelled to finish it and move on. Then it was up and out of bed at 9. I had a 10 am date with my tri-buddy at the gym.
Since I am only allowed to use the stationary bike and do upper body work, Jackie biked along side me, 35 minutes. Then she was kind enough to show me the machines that would work my upper body. I tried them out and made a plan for my next visit!
Once we finished our workout, it was back home. Jackie came over with a dress she needed hemmed.
Lunch and then a trip to the Home Depot to pick up the grill we ordered on Monday. It was all put together and did not fit in our car! Jackie to the rescue! The grill fit nicely in her Jeep and she kindly drove it to the house and helped us to unload it.
Next up, cleaning lawn furniture. I just love our little yard and I am happy to be getting it ready to be used. I scrubbed the adirondack chairs and our patio set so we are ready for a little bbq on Friday when my mom stops by.
Next up, Target and food shopping. A delicious Italian dinner, because it was easy, and then we collapsed, exhausted!
A loud crack of thunder announced that the storm had arrived. Woke me up from a sound sleep. Mark and I set ourselves up in the livingroom, opened the patio door and just watched the show. Lightening like I have never seen, the sky lit up like the sunrise.
Just as quick, the storm was over.
Here it is, nearly midnight and I think it is about time to call it a day. I am so happy that we were able to spend today getting our little yard ready to be used and enjoyed this summer. So many wonderful days to look forward to!
