Week in the Life, Saturday

Her story: Saturday was all about spending some much needed time with my baby, Jessica. I hopped on a 10:25 train and ventured up to Manhatten for a day of adventure. First the Guggenheim, a real treat for both of us since we had never been. Next, a plan for food along with shopping for a new coat for Jess. It was great just walking around, bopping into stores, trying things on and then moving on. We paid a visit to Evelyn, Jess' roomate and then had lunch at Cafeteria. Delish! A quick stop at a trendy thrift store yielded Jessie a new coat, and what a beauty. We wandered until we were both too tired to continue standing. I hopped on the 7:03 train home and she hopped on the subway. Our visits are too infrequent but something we both treasure. I can't wait to do it again!

Week in the Life, Friday

Her Story: Friday was all about Halloween, because it was! Our celebration includes a parade with the students and teachers in costume. Everything was going well until my little clown lost his left shoe. He wanted to walk all the way back to the building in his stocking feet which was not okay. He was really frustrated but I suggested that we take a picture of our feet together once we made it back to the classroom. My kiddos know how much I love to take pictures of my feet and he was thrilled that I suggested the photo. He persevered and walked very slowly only tripping a few times before we made it back to the classroom. Once in the classroom he was so excited to take a "feet" picture with me. Good fun. That was the highlight of my day. During the evening, I was home by myself. I was hoping lots of little visitors all dressed up, but none came. That made me sad, next year I need to develop a plan to get the little ones to walk down our block!

Week in the Life, Thursday

Her Story: This day was all about making the time to craft a bit with Bunkey. I, unfortunately, had left a great deal of Halloween to the last minute. Despite the fact that I had a costume to finish and materials to buy for said costume, I decided to spend a couple of hours with Bunkey. Thursday is our night to craft together and I was determined not to lose another week of that because of other circumstances. I still managed to pick up my supplies at Michaels, stop at Starbucks for my free drink and pick up holds and the museum pass at the library. I still managed to finish my tutu and prepare for Halloween at school before heading to bed just after midnight. Thursday, my story was all about managing time to make time to do what I wanted to do the most!
