Since there was no football today, I decided to venture outside for just a bit. It was truly a beautiful day! The temperatures warmed up and I was able to head outside and spend a bit of time exploring in our yard today.
First on my agenda, finding pebbles for my students. I gathered enough pebbles for each of my students to select 3, I think. I am still not convinced that our 4 pebble meditation is helping classroom behavior, but I know that some of my students are benefitting from the practice and that is enough for me to continue.
Since the weather was cooperating, I decided to spend a bit of time exploring the gardens. I love the colors of the plants that over winter. This plant, which is a beautiful bright green in the summer, takes on the glorious hues of the winter season and becomes a garden standout.
The daffodils emerged a bit before Christmas and I noticed that they have added a bit of height since our last snow. It was a relaxing Sunday, perfect for spending a bit of time in the yard.
Warm as it was, I was able to sport my new sandals as I frolicked in the yard. Yes, despite the fact that there was no football, it was a good day!
