It all started with a pile of crayons. I ripped off the paper and broke the crayons into little bits. I placed the little bits of crayons into the silicone heart bake pan that I borrowed from my dear tri buddy, Jackie.
Into the oven it went. I was worried that I had not filled the hearts with enough crayon bits, oh well, let’s just see how this all works out.
After 20 minutes in the oven, this is what I had. They really do not look all that good. But I’m patient. Off to bookclub, I will deal with these once I am home.
After a couple of hours, I’d say they aren’t so bad. A few of them are a little too monochromatic, but the rest are pretty colorful. Well, I need to peel some more paper off of a few more crayons for the second batch.
There’s no rush on the hearts. Tomorrow is the 100th day, I had better get to bed. There will be a lot of celebrating in second grade tomorrow!
