There is never any reason for Mark or I to venture out into the snow laden field that is our backyard. We do not even use the front door, which is on the side of the house, when it has snowed. It is interesting to see the tracks in the snow made by our furry or feathered friends. In this picture I recognize the bunny tracks, but I am not sure what those other tracks might be. It is actually a little scary to think about!
While I was home alone yesterday I decided to spend some time cleaning out the fridge. This always means multiple trips to the compost pile. I ran into one of our many bunnies on my out. He was so cute and so engaged in his snacking that it took him a while to notice how close I had gotten. He scampered off rather quickly after he noticed I was there.
The wonderful part of a March snow is that it does not stay around for long. This snow was particularly beautiful. Light and fluffy while it was falling and really light to shovel. And Sunday, just three days after the snowstorm, it is almost a memory. I think I am ready to move onto spring. Just in case anyone is interested.
