Tonight I was fortunate to spend a bit of time with my BFF, Bunkey. We used to get together every Friday evening because Mark works on Friday evenings. Unfortunately, since Bunkey’s regimen has changed, she now receives IV chemo every other Friday. So, our visits are down to every other Friday if she is feeling up to it.
I was so excited for tonight. I spent a couple of hours previewing projects to take to Bunkeys. First there was the quilt that I had wanted to make for my friend Donna a couple of years ago.Unfortunately, this quilt is in the very beginning stages. The fabric is picked out. Period. Lots to do and definitely in contension for a Bunkey trip.
Just in the puttering stages, my Grand Illusion quilt has each step started, but not one step completed. Hmmm. A definite possibility.
Ahhh, Jason’s quilt. I can’t tell you how long I have had the 10 yards of musical note fabric. I really need to get this one started and on its way.
In the end I opted for Jason’s quilt, a quilt that needs the binding attached, and my cupcake quilt that has two four patches put on the wrong way. Good thing I spent that time planning.
Bunkey had a difficult day and we decided that dinner should be our focus. So, dinner it was. We added dessert of course because her sugar numbers were way down and mine should be better because we have been so good with our dietary habits. Oh well, I am home a bit early so perhaps I should take advantage of the time and just do a bit of sewing myself!
