There has always been a plan, in my mind, for what my garden was to look like. Back in 2009, when I was building the back garden and stone patio, Mark would ask me what I expected the garden to look like. My response was always, I’ll know it when we achieve it. Well folks, we are close to having achieved my original plan and boy does that feel good.
Over time, my vision has changed. Originally, the vegetables were to go into the center of the back yard. Now they are permanently housed in the far back corner of the yard behind the stone patio.
The area behind the dining-room window, where I thought I would place roses, will now be filled with hydrangea, yellow cone flowers, and blue salvia. A veritable carnival of color.Thrilled is an understatement. It has been years in the making, but finally we are close to my original vision and that is a good thing.
