School is off to a very slow start. Even though we actually started back before Labor Day, we have only been in class 7 days. Tomorrow will start our 3rd week of school and again, a short week. By the time September is finished we will only have been in school a total of 16 days.
It is hard to get routines set when there is so much time off but, I am not complaining. A beautiful 4 day weekend, the third week of school, is more than I could have hoped for. Jess and I took advantage of my day off and spent a little time perusing the Marketplace at Ikea. We both picked up a couple of organizational tools and then we enjoyed a simple lunch before Jess had to head into work for the evening.
Tomorrow I will greet my kiddos at our classroom door hoping they remember the routine of morning greetings. Even if they don’t, I can’t complain, the past couple of days have been a true gift.
