30 Days of Gratitude: November 23rd

Just like that, it was Thanksgiving Day. Grateful this special day for family, friends and a good sense of humor. You see, our guests arrived while I was still in my jammies. Not a coordinated and sexy set of jammies, but too short fleece bottoms, a ho ho ho shirt and my wildly cute Bunkey black and white striped ladybug slipper socks. Well, it is what it is...a wonderful day filled with blessings!

30 Days of Gratitude: November 22nd

 Grateful for a deliciously wonderful autumn day before Thanksgiving. A half day at school and gorgeous weather made it much easier to tackle the last of the errands that needed to be run and still arrive home before 4. It was a busy afternoon and evening at our house but the perfect weather made it that much easier to prepare for our guests!

30 Days of Gratitude: November 21st

Grateful for the generosity of 2nd graders. Isn't this little turkey adorable? It is made with a lollipop and a candy kiss. I think it is a cute idea and it made my day! Second graders are thrilled to try, explore and always enjoy whatever they encounter. 

30 Days of Gratitude: November 20th

 Grateful for us. After my divorce from my first husband it was just us 3. Playing, planning, struggling, and surviving. We have been through a lot, us three. Grateful that through it all we had each other and that we are still close. I am grateful always for Jason and Jessica. I am equally grateful for our small family unit that did so much more than survive. I love us!

30 Days of Gratitude: November 19th

 Sundays and slow stitching make me happy. So very happy that Sunday is the one day I have off each week. I love a slow lazy Sunday. Not that this particular Sunday was that at all. Mark and I were busy getting ready for our guests on Thanksgiving when I came across these items already glued and ready to stitch. I am just learning to do English Paper Piecing and I was so upset that I couldn't find these honeycomb shapes for my first ever Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses block. It's amazing what you find when you clean! So grateful for that and life on this crazy Sunday!

30 Days of Gratitude: November 18th

  Grateful for our National Park System. I have had so many wonderful adventures in our national parks. Years ago, when Jason and Jessica were little, I purchased national park passports. They lost interested not long after, but me, I'm a national park geek. One of my dreams has always been to visit all the national parks. This summer we visited a few. While in Wyoming we visited Fossil Butte and Grand Teton. I love getting my passport stamped and purchasing the stamps. So many of my best memories revolve around time spent in and around our national parks. So very grateful...

30 Days of Gratitude: November 17th

 Grateful everyday for this young man. He has always been there for me. He is kind and generous, a great older brother to his baby sister and a wonderful boss to his employees. He is fair and principled. He makes me smile, everyday. I am so very blessed that he is my son.

30 Days of Gratitude: November 16th

  Grateful for this girl. She makes my heart light, makes me smile and shows me, always, that having fun is always the best option. I love her to the moon and back and so very grateful that she is my daughter!

30 Days of Gratitude: November 15th, 2017

 Grateful for a lifetime of memories created along the Jersey Shore. From time spent in Asbury Park and Ocean Grove with my Nannie and Grandma Rose to the years on LBI with Grams and Pop-pop. Later years brought Jason and Jessica and our time spent in Beach Haven to those years I spent with Jen, David and the girls spent at their house, formerly Grams', in High Bar Harbor. My introduction to Ocean City with Bunkey and memories still being cultivated with Mark and his family in Bunkey's shadow. Some of my very best memories come from those magical moments. Looking forward to creating many more. So very grateful to live so close to the beach and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

30 Days of Gratitude: November 14th

Mark spent today building a new shelf for our bedroom. I moved the Longaberger bakers rack, that was near my side of the bed, to the shop and that left an empty spot and a lot of stuff on the floor. Mark stopped at Target to pick up a new shelf for me and then put it together so that I could get myself a little organized this afternoon. It's no wonder I love the man!
